Outdoor Education - Curriculum Campaign 2013
ALERT- HPE Consultation closed 12 April.
Thanks to those who contributed online.
Here is the response on asking the Federal Minister for Education why there was limited outdoor education in the curriculum.
Calling all outdoor professionals, continued support is needed for Outdoor Education in the National Curriculum.
After much agitation there has been a small shift towards recognising Outdoor Education. This was due to the overwhelming efforts of those in WA and across Australia. Well done.
However we must be vigilant and provide feedback on the value of outdoor learning to strengthen the opportunity for outdoor education for all Australian students.
Here are some simple steps you can take
1. Take time to read the Draft HPE Curriculum proposed here and the supportive materials to aid in your response.
